Anochece (Lorca) supported by Screen Flanders

Screen Flanders, VLAIO's economic fund for the audiovisual industry, is investing €1,925,000 in 15 new audiovisual productions. The 15 supported projects will generate more than €16.1 million in eligible audiovisual expenditure in the Flanders Region. The support awarded within this call varies between €35,000 and €295,000 per project.

Summer 1936. As Spain slides into civil war, the poet Federico García Lorca leaves the turbulent city of Madrid behind and seeks refuge in his hometown of Granada. But the illusion of safety vanishes when an armed group storms his hideout and takes him away without explanation.
Anochece (Lorca) is produced by La Terraza Films in Spain, in co-production with Harald House in Fland
ers. Fernando Navarro wrote the screenplay, and Fernando Franco is directing the film. Nacho Sánchez plays Federico García Lorca. Filming will take place this summer in Spain, with a Flemish sound team and VFX supervisor. Furthermore, Flanders is primarily providing expertise in the areas of previsualisation, editing, image and sound post-production, and deliverables. Latido Films is handling international sales.
