Gorgius selected by Screen Flanders for financial support.

The feature film Gorgius (IT,BE) by Samuele Rossi, produced by Solaria Film and Harald House, will be supported by Screen Flanders with €50,000. Gorgius is based on the children's book of the same name by Italian author Angela Nanetti, is a modern dark fable that makes the magic and horror of growing up tangible. Minerva Pictures is releasing this youth film in Italy and handling international sales. Letterbox Film Sales is releasing the film in Benelux. In addition to a part for an actor from Flanders, local heads of department will feature in the image, sound and electrical teams, and as machinists. Facility companies from Flanders will be called upon for the VFX, image editing, sound design and mixing. The co-producer in Flanders is Harald House Belgium.
Screen Flanders, VLAIO's economic fund for the audiovisual industry, is investing €2,950,000 in 15 new audiovisual productions. Due to the high demand and exceptional quality of the applications, Flanders’ Economic Affairs Minister Matthias Diependaele decided to increase the initial budget by €1.4 million. This additional investment enabled Screen Flanders to support eight more projects.
The 15 supported projects will generate more than €24.7 million in eligible audiovisual expenditure in the Flanders Region. The support awarded within this second call of 2025 varies between €50,000 and €400,000 per project.
